Your First Sunday — Welcome!
Thinking of joining us for the first time? Wonderful — you’re in for a really warm welcome. Here’s a friendly, step-by-step walk through exactly what happens at one of our Sunday services, so you can arrive feeling completely at ease.
No dress code. No experience needed. Just bring yourself.

Arriving & The Collection
When you walk through the door, you’ll receive a warm welcome. As you enter the main room, you'll see a collection plate. There is absolutely no pressure or set fee to attend, but if you wish to leave a small cash donation to help us keep the church running, it is always greatly appreciated! - Step 2
Settling In & Safety
Find a seat wherever you feel comfortable. Before we begin, we'll quickly run through our health and safety procedures, including where the fire escapes are located, so you know you're in safe hands. - Step 3
Opening Prayers
Our Guest Medium for the week will open the service by reading a beautiful spiritual prayer, followed by the Lord’s Prayer. You are welcome to join in or just listen quietly. - Step 4
The Healing Register
We take a moment to read out our Healing Register for those in need of comfort and recovery. If you'd like a loved one added to this list, you can do it in person before the service starts (just speak to Simon or Fran!), or you can use our online form right here on the website ahead of time. - Step 5
Music & Hymns
Next, we'll either sing a healing hymn together or listen to a beautiful music recording. Don't worry if you aren't a great singer — we aren't all professional vocalists! - Step 6
Spiritual Philosophy (10–15 Mins)
The Medium will share 10 to 15 minutes of spiritual philosophy. This is usually an uplifting, thought-provoking address about life, the spirit world, and our shared journey. - Step 7
Mid-Service Music
We pause for another quick hymn or piece of music to reset the energy and prepare for the next part of the service. - Step 8
The Mediumship Demonstration (~45 Mins)
This is the mediumship part of the service, lasting about 45 minutes. Every medium works a little differently! They will tune into the spirit world to bring forward messages of love and evidence of survival.Please Note: If the medium connects with a loved one for you and calls you out, you are completely in control. You can happily accept the message, or if you feel uncomfortable or put on the spot, it is 100% okay to gently decline it. - Step 9
Notices & Closing Prayer
We wrap up by reading out our upcoming church events so you know what's coming up next, followed by a peaceful closing prayer to finish the formal service. - Step 10
Tea, Chat & The Raffle!
Once the service is over, you are welcome to head home, or stay behind for a cup of tea, a biscuit, and a friendly chat with like-minded people. We also sometimes run a raffle after the service if you fancy trying your luck!
