How a sitting works

A safe, gentle, confidential space

An individual reading is a quiet, one-to-one sitting with a working medium. You do not need to bring anything, prepare anything, or know anything about Spiritualism beforehand. You are welcome exactly as you are. Whatever is shared in the sitting stays between you, your medium, and (if you choose) spirit.

45 minutes

Long enough to settle, listen, and ask the questions on your heart — without feeling rushed.

Held in a private room at our Sherwood church.

From wherever you are, by video call (Zoom or Google Meet).

Your wellbeing first. Every medium used by the church is registered and works to the SNU code of conduct. We never make promises about specific outcomes and you are free to pause or end your sitting at any time. If you are newly bereaved or distressed, please do reach out — we'll help you decide whether a sitting is the right thing right now.
