Introduction

Spiritualism

Modern Spiritualism is a religion, philosophy and science that demonstrates the continuity of life beyond the change called death. It teaches that we are all part of one universal life force, and that communication between this world and the spirit world is a natural fact, evidenced through mediumship.

A religion of personal responsibility

Spiritualism has no dogma or creed beyond its Seven Principles. It asks each person to seek truth through their own experience and to take responsibility for their thoughts, words and actions. It welcomes those of every background and tradition.

A philosophy of love

We acknowledge a divine creative force we call God, and a universal brotherhood that binds all of life. Mediumship offers comfort and evidence; healing offers compassion and renewal; service offers purpose.

A science of evidence

Through demonstration of mediumship, the survival of personality after physical death is shown — not as belief, but as personal experience. Spiritualism encourages careful study and honest enquiry.
